This Games will be composed of sports with TV broadcasting potential and not included in the Asian Games and Winter Asian Games Programs and are not Olympic sports. The sports program will consist of six to eight exciting sports with strong television appeal.

The 2nd Asian Indoor Games were held in Macau, China, at 9 venues, from October 26, 2007 to November 3, 2007. Most events took place at the Macao East Asian Games Dome

You can see some sports that usually think that it can only be played outdoor and some strange sports, such as: cycling, dragon and lion dance, electronic sport, etc. What are they? How can people play them indoor. Read this and you will know:

Indoor Cycling :Indoor cycling is actually two very different disciplines: Artistic cycling, which is basically gymnastics on a bicycle, and Cycle ball, which is something like indoor hockey or soccer played by cyclists. Since these are held indoor, their competitions will not be affected by the weather. Indoor Cycling requires concentration, balance and courage from its athletes.

Dragon & Lion Dance: Lion Dance is divided into two disciplines: Northern Lion and Southern Lion. The appearance of Northern Lion is like a real lion, whose lively body is covered by the golden hair. A red knot or green knot on the lion’s head classifies the sex of male and female respectively. The shape of Southern Lion represents a strong power. At the early period, a dancer wearing a mask of Baddish statue head leads the Southern lion. In their dancing styles, the Northern emphases in jumping, and the Southern enhances in flatland dancing. In the Dragon Dance, the athletes control the dragon in dancing to show a powerful atmosphere, and the symbol of luck, pleasure, and fortune.

Electronic Sports :Electronic Sports (E-Sports), as its name, is a competitive sport that compete electronically or using electronic devices. Like conventional competitive sports, e-sport focus on competitiveness and fairness. Besides physical strength and reaction, strategy is also an important element in Electronic Sports (E-Sports). We can see it as chess games that require quick reaction. Although it seems different to traditional sports, they are the same in the core.

FutsalDerived from traditional soccer, Futsal is a sport that is played by teams. Futsal is an indoor sport which combines high speed with excellent control and football skills.

Muay :Muay (Thai Boxing) is what the Thai people call their own martial art. The art of Muay has been the most popular sport for hundreds of years in Thailand. May is unique among other kinds of fighting disciplines in its approach to close quarters fighting. Fighters are able to more effectively use their elbows, knees, feet and fists than in other kinds of martial art. Every athlete of Muay only wears trunks, so this sport is more popular for among male athletes.

Extreme Sports (X-Sports)(ex:sport climbing, BMX freestyle, skateboard, inline stunt.):Evolved rapidly, Extreme Sports (X-Sports) are an exciting array of creative and gravity defying activities, known for their explosive combination of action, risk, awe, creativity and adrenalin. The athlete involvement with their sports goes far beyond the practice hours, and reflects a very particular way of life; from passionate commitment, behavior, fashion style, music preferences, to their vocabulary.

Kurash (Demonstration sport):Kurash - the traditional upright jacket wrestling originated in Uzbekistan more than 3500 years ago. The original translation of the word "Kurash" from the Uzbek language is grappling or wrestling. It is one of the most respected and popular traditions in Central Asia, especially in Uzbekistan. Competitors, one wearing a green jacket and the other a blue jacket, try to throw each other to the ground. If thrown to the back, victory is declared. If thrown onto the side, points are awarded. If thrown to the belly, buttocks or weakly onto the side, a lesser point is given. The action is stopped by the referee and restarted in the standing position in bounds if either of the contestants goes down to one knee or out of bounds. Competitors are not allowed to grab the opponent's pants, but are otherwise free to grip as they please. Kurash players always play the sports like Judo and Sambo as they also need a very strong balance and quick footwork.

In this sporting event, China team won 102 medals ranked the first in the medal table.Viet Nam team won 18 medals including 2 gold , 5 silver and 11 bronze medals, finished the 13th out of 29 countries.
